Wide Horizons For Children was accredited by the Ethiopian government in 2003 to assist with adoption and child welfare work. Since then, we have placed over 900 children with loving families and have active humanitarian aid and child sponsorship programs in place to promote child welfare and family permanence.

The Ethiopia adoption program offers flexible age and eligibility requirements for families. Also, the adoption process is full and final in Ethiopia. Most importantly, adoption allows needy children from Ethiopia the chance to escape poverty and lifethreatening conditions.

Children Available

Children of all ages are waiting for families in Ethiopia. Presently, the greatest need is for families to adopt older children, 36 months and up. Infants, as well as sibling groups, are also available for adoption.

Ethiopia Program Eligibility Requirements

MARRIED couples with at least 2 years of marriage, as well as single women.

» The adoptive parents should be between 25-50 years of age; up to age 55 for children over 4 and waiting children.
