Active Diego just loves the playground.  Whether it is jumping on a trampoline, swinging, zooming down the slide or running with his friends – he is in his element!

When Diego was born his newborn screening showed that he has G^PD deficiency but there was no further note about this.  At the age of 3, Diego was diagnosed as having Global Developmental Delay and he began to receive special education to improve his motor, language and social development.  When he was reassessed at the age of 4 there were noted improvements.  At that time, he was following simple instructions, coloring within a boundary, identifying colors, shapes, and counting to 10.  It’s amazing to think of the progress sweet Diego could make with the love and support of a family.
