Madelyn – born January 2007
Lucy – born March 2012
Madelyn and Lucy are loving sisters who enjoy singing, dancing, and cooking! They have 5 biological siblings who they spent their early years with. Unfortunately, their mother was unable to provide her children with adequate care and a safe living environment, and they entered the protection program in 2017. Madelyn and Lucy have a close bond; however, they are currently not living in the same foster home. They have each adapted well to their homes but are eagerly awaiting the chance to come home to their forever home with YOU!
Madelyn is described as being an active, happy, and studious girl. She shows great academic performance and is not behind in any subject. She is very dedicated to her school work and values her education. Madelyn’s foster mother and teachers describe her as being a very intelligent girl who always makes and effort to learn. Madelyn is very respectful in the school setting and interacts positively with both her teachers and peers. In a video we have of Madelyn, she describes how much she loves to read, particularly novels. Additionally, she is very athletic and loves to play basketball! Due to the challenges of her past, Madelyn struggles with anxiety and associated diagnoses. She is diagnosed with behavioral alterations secondary to anxious depression in addition to a personality disorder. She is supported by her foster mother and a team of therapists and psychologists and has made significant progress since coming into care. She has adapted well and responds well to the affection of her foster mother and is motivated to be a positive member of the family. She is a resilient girl who enjoys spending time with her foster family.
Lucy is a dancing queen! She loves to dance and takes weekly lessons which bring her a lot of joy. She is a very affectionate girl who will shower you with hugs and kisses. She loves spending time with her foster family and enjoys family game nights. Lucy is diagnoses with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder and has a low academic performance. She also has significant behavioral challenges in the academic setting. Her lack of interest in school has caused her to act out. She displays many disruptive behaviors in the classroom against her peers and teachers which makes learning additionally challenging for her and her peers. Lucy takes medication to control her ADHD and to help her manage her disruptive behaviors. Despite these challenges, Lucy can still maintain friendships and shows great leadership skills! Lucy also has an astigmatism of her eye which is being treated. Lucy enjoys the outdoors and her favorite activity is racing around her neighborhood on her bike!
Madelyn and Lucy deserve the unconditional love that a family can bring them! They are fun, loving, and adventurous girls who are excited to find their forever home.
