Tiana – born March 2010
Tiana is a beautiful girl who entered the protection program in 2018. When she was born, her birth family was unable to provide for her and she unfortunately moved from family member to family member. Tiana is eager to find a loving family that she can call her own. She told us that she wants a family that makes her feel valued and respected.
When Tiana entered the protection program, she was not enrolled in school. Due to her lack of formal education, Tiana has delayed school performance. Additionally, Tiana is diagnosed with an attention disorder which makes focusing challenging for her. With the proper support, Tiana has the ability to make improvements in her learning and academic performance. Tiana also has anxiety due to the challenges and uncertainties of her past. Sometimes, she has trouble appropriately responding to her strong emotions and can turn them on herself. She is receiving psychiatric support through talk therapy and medication which is improving her mental health and behavior. Through her intervention, she was diagnosed with “Mixed Emotion and Behavior Disorder”. Despite her challenges, when Tiana feels comfortable and confident, she really shines! She is a social butterfly and has a strong ability to have conversations with anyone. She is very talkative and loves making new friends. Tiana is also a very active girl who enjoys playing basketball and tennis! When she isn’t running around outside, Tiana enjoys being artistic and creative. She likes to make stories with her Barbie dolls and stuffed animals and also enjoys making pretty bracelets for her friends.
Tiana is a strong and determined girl who can’t wait to meet you! Because of the uncertainties of her past, she needs a family who will support her emotional needs and provide her with a sense of stability, belonging, and love for the first time in her life. Tiana is a true joy! In an interview with us, she reports that her life goal is to become famous! Are you ready to welcome this star into your lives?
