Leave a Legacy and Transform a Child’s Life!

Make the gift of a lifetime with a legacy gift to Wide Horizons For Children! There are two easy ways to do this.

Charitable Bequests

A charitable bequest is made when you name WHFC in your Will. This is ideal for those of you who anticipate that you’ll have accumulated some assets by the end of your life — assets that you’d like to have full access to until then. This is a simple and flexible way to leave us a legacy gift. You may designate a percentage of your estate, a specific amount, or a particular asset — e.g. cash, stocks, mutual funds, IRAs or retirement funds.

Tax advantages include a Federal estate deduction and State tax deduction for the amount of the bequest.

Beneficiary Designation

A beneficiary designation is made when you name WHFC as a beneficiary. This is ideal for a donor who wants to maximize the value of their unused retirement plan or life insurance assets. You can name WHFC as a beneficiary from qualifying retirements accounts including IRA, 401K, and life insurance policies. You can also consider adding WHFC as a contingency beneficiary, in the event that the primary beneficiary is no longer living.

Tax advantages include Federal estate tax deduction for the amount of the gift and no income tax liability for other beneficiaries of your estate. 100% of the gift is disbursed directly from the custodian to WHFC.
