Campaign for Children in Crisis
A Family for Every Child
Wide Horizons For Children is the only international child welfare organization that is focused on both improving the lives of children without families and on acting to prevent children from being on their own in the first place.
Every child deserves the love of a family, yet today, millions of children risk growing up without one, left vulnerable to hunger, exploitation, and despair when poverty pushes families past the breaking point. A parent’s death, a medical emergency, the loss of a job, or famine can collapse a household already on the edge, leaving children to face the world alone. The World Health Organization estimates that 150 million children are living without families worldwide, a number that continues to rise.
The Campaign for Children in Crisis is a $10 million initiative to meet this urgent need through addressing the root causes of family separation and expanding proven programs.

Why Support Wide Horizons for Children?
We uniquely focus on the need for a stable family in the life of a vulnerable child: this is essential if a child is to survive and thrive
For desperately poor families at risk of breaking apart: we offer holistic family preservation programs that address the root cause of children becoming orphans
For children without a family: we offer family-like orphanage care or, where possible, a permanent family through adoption
Our Generous Donors
We are tremendously grateful to the individuals, families, and foundations who have stepped forward as leaders in this campaign.
